Production Planner: TMK IPSCO

TMK IPSCO, a top U.S. steel pipe producer and a division of OAO TMK, one of the world’s largest oil and gas pipe producers, is currently seeking a Production Planner for our Catoosa, OK location.

The Production Planner serves as a facilitating resource between the Sales, Operations, Purchasing and Accounting teams to implement defined inventory and production plans for the assigned product groups, locations and resources (both internal and Outside Processors). The various plans and strategies are focused on optimizing business outcomes from the perpsective of minimizing working capital, maximizing business profitability and achieving targeted customer service levels.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

· Develop and publish mill and finishing production plans per established guidelines

· Define scrap and coil steel requirements that are required to support production plans

· Provide input and participate in discussions on how to best balance the perspectives of plant resource utilization / efficiencies and achieving the required level of customer service

· Support individual and cross training programs to ensure adequate support coverage can be provided at all times to our various internal customers

· Make visible and respond to unexpected procurement and production outcomes that inhibit achieving defined business objectivesp

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• College degree in Finance, Business or Engineering or equivalent experience; prior experience in a Technical Support or Inventory / Production Planning role is highly preferred
• Good computer skills – ERP systems, forecasting models, and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint)
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet multiple deadlines
• Possess good analytical and decision making skills
• Attention to detail
