 | Vice President, Production (Oxygen Media) Job Description:
Responsibilities As Vice President of Production, you will supervise the energetic, highly motivated, and brand focused production team of the Oxygen Media channel. You will report directly to the SVP of Original Programming and Production.
You will:
- Serve as the "uber" brand-manager and executive producer on all current shows, acting as a liaison to the marketing, publicity, ad sales, and digital teams
- Provide notes on production concepts, casting, outlines and rough-cuts and coordinate new series launches and approve storylines for series
- Manage talent on all shows
- Liaise with sales team and Production Company to provide integration ideas and supervise integration execution on set
- Supervise and conceptualize the production elements of the digital materials that emanate from assigned shows- i.e. webisodes/extra scenes/blogs etc
- Problem solve show issues with producers and SVP of Original Programming and Production
- Attend shoots, and work with the Executive Producers and the director of finance/ production to solve budget issues
- Work with the Vice President of Development to ensure that agreed to concepts are fully realized in production

- Must have a minimum of Bachelor's Degree
- Must have a minimum of 7 years experience in television, with specific experience in both production and development

Desired - Experience in either generating or taking pitches for a production company or taking pitches for a network or cable network
- Experience on docu-series and competitive reality shows
- Have strong relationships with the agent and production community
- Passion for the Oxygen brand
