Demonstrated experience selling CE or related products into National Retail Accounts



Imation is seeking an energetic National Account Manager to manage the Consumer Electronics Specialty accounts (Radio Shack, Fry's, Toys R Us, etc) with responsibility for a portfolio of product; consumer electronics and computer devices, consumables and accessories under the Memorex, TDK, HP, Imation,. XtremeMac and private label brands.

The position will be based at Imation's Headquarters in Oakdale , Minnesota .

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute sales plans consistent with business unit objectives.
  • Develop and maintain key customer relationships across multiple departments and reporting structures
  • Lead a strategic account team including Category Captain, Channel Marketing, Sales Support, and Customer Operations
  • Manage pricing and promotional activities
  • Manage account pro-forma P&L’s
  • Facilitate accurate forecasting of future demand to meet and exceed account service metrics
  • Monitor and disseminate competitive activity
  • Develop and maintain product and industry expertise in all relevant product groups and industries.

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualified candidates will possess direct selling and/or channel marketing experience with national retail accounts in the computer and/or consumer electronics industry.

  • Balance of account management and new product placement skills
  • Solid presentation, (Excel/PowerPoint expertise) verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent written communications skills
  • Strong financial acumen
  • Solid understanding of consumer electronics and computer products industry
  • Ability to build/manage relationships at all levels in and outside of Imation
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Microsoft Office applications expertise
  • 2-3 years national account sales and/or channel marketing experience required
  • Direct experience working with Radio Shack, Fry's Toys R Us, Electrobrand, Hasings JR Music, TransWorld, HH Gregg, PC Richards, Brandsmart , Nebraska Furniture a plus
  • Bachelors Degree - Required (Business, Marketing or a Related Field)
