5860 Work with Design Engineering to provide DFx support during New Product Development Perform DFM review at board and mechanical levels at various stages Work with CM and PCB suppliers to coordinate there DFM input Provide proto level build support Work with CM’s to ensure product and processes are properly developed for production readiness. Work with CM and Juniper support personnel to investigate and resolve technical production issues. Work with technical team at CM to understand and resolve issues due to CM manufacturing process Work with technical team at CM, Juniper Component and Quality Engineering to understand and resolve issues due to component suppliers manufacturing process. Work with technical team at CM and Juniper Engineering to understand and propose potential solutions due to product design or documentation. Create and implement changes to Manufacturing Process Instructions (MPI) as needed. Work with CM to establish, design, and implement the procurement, fabrication and use of manufacturing fixtures and equipment. Assist procurement and quality groups with the qualification of new vendors. Drive the quality focus at suppliers via process yield analysis and feedback. Ensure proper documentation is created, updated and released for all manufacturing via ECO’s, MCO’s or Deviation. Ensure product being built and processes being used at CM are following/adhering to all Juniper requirements Provide project coordination and support for key customers. Lead project teams providing direction to other ME's and technicians. Ensure that supplier roadmap(s) aligns with Juniper manufacturing strategies
Qualifications:
Motivated self-starter able to work under minimal supervision with excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills. Strong background in electromechanical assembly, printed circuit board (PCB) and circuit card assembly (CCA) manufacturing processes. Must be able to resolve problems with local technical team meeting the defined requirements of global manufacturing corporate strategies. Success for this position is high yielding products in sustained manufacturing environment. Other Preferred Skills include: A broad technical background in all aspects of enclosure design, in particular sheet metal and plastic design, thermal and airflow design, shock and vibration design required. A broad understanding of interconnect technologies, and designing enclosures to meet regulatory, EMC, and manufacturability and cost constraints required. Backround in ASIC and other component package applications development. Backround in PCB laminates applications for leadfree pcbas Backround in DOE for component, pcba and systems qualification. Proficiency in PCBA and Mechanical design applications.
