LEAD JAVA/J2EE SOFTWARE ENGINEER (Backend)

We are looking for bright engineers from varied backgrounds including UI, Server Architecture, and Infrastructure Architecture!! The Lead Software Engineer’s responsibilities will include designing, developing, testing, and documenting software, tools, and applications for the Employee Central Product Line.

The Employee Central product is a critical component of SF product offering, providing the HRIS (Human Resource Information System) aspect to a HCM(Human Capital Management) core product. The Employee Central product is built on a cutting edge Web 2.0 UI framework and separates itself from traditional HRIS applications with its ease of use and configurability. It also provides a collaboration platform for all employees and as such adds value and support to the Business Execution features of the SF product lineup. The Lead Software Engineer (Backend) will be responsible for building applications spanning different paradigms, use cases and technologies to enable the successful implementation of this new category of HRIS applications.

Responsibilities.

· Support the total design effort and participate in multiple projects, solve complex problems, and provide mentoring and support to more junior engineers.

· Evaluate and analyze software products and provide sales support.

· Define, develop, and manage the whole process of a integrating analytic components into products and engaging individuals across various departments or organizations to resolve problems

· Work jointly with clients to ensure business requirements are clearly communicated

· Prioritize multiple requirements, and communicate to senior management the present status and future direction of the collaborative HRIS/HCM product strategy.

Experience:

· 5+ years of experience with enterprise programming in Java/J2EE, Analytics, Enterprise Applications, Web Service, OOD, Oracle

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any type) or a related field

· Excellent hands-on design, implementation and communication skills

· Expert knowledge of a SOA platform

· Expert knowledge using Web Services, WSDL, SOAP - XML

· 8 + years of experience in software development, engineering, or related field

· In-depth knowledge of Unix, Windows, JVM, web and application servers

· Expert knowledge of J2EE (EJB, Servlets, JSP, XML, JDBC, JMS)

· Strong knowledge of Design Patterns

· Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript

· Experience with performance tuning, caching, clustering and related concepts is preferred

· Experience with JSF, Seam and/or Hibernate would be a bonus

· Ability to work independently as well as with a team

· Ability to understand and master new technologies quickly

· Strong focus on quality and generating results

· Self-disciplined with strong attention to detail

· Proven ability to quickly understand and solve unique and undocumented programming problems
