JOB DESCRIPTION & RESPONSIBILITIES
TIAA-CREF seeks a Service Representative to join our team in our Charlotte operations center. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to processing withdrawal and transfer requests from Individual Participants. All tasks, responsibilities and assignments must be processed with the highest level of quality and under strict compliance and regulatory scrutiny.
Candidates will also be charged with the responsibility of working closely with both internal business owners and external customers to resolve problems as they arise. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with initiating contact with both internal and external clients with emphasis on communicating the issues and potential resolution.
Quality of work is a must in this position. Candidates will be evaluated on both the quality and quantity of work-completed daily. Candidates must be highly flexible, objective, and willing to work various schedules as the business need dictates.

Qualifications

Qualifications and Requirements are as follows:
  • Experience in transactional / financial industry "back end operations"
  • Bachelor's degree NOT required, however strongly preferred
  • Ability to meet production, quality & timeliness requirements according to unit & corporate standards
  • Well developed customer service skills
  • Excellent oral & written communication skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with key business partners
  • Prioritize multiple simultaneous projects and tasks; allocate time effectively and efficiently
  • Work independently and as a member of a team
  • Strong PC Skills
  • Frequent mandatory over time is required.
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Ability to work various schedules including nights and weekends
  • Position may require off hours and weekend shifts
