Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer: TAC Worldwide

SQA Engineer

Primary focus and skills required:

Solid testing skills in Windows or Linux. (Rate your skills 1-10)

Strong QA skills

Proficient with one of the following (listed in order of desired preference) (Used on the backend):

MS Exchange

Lotus Notes

SharePoint

Documentum/Livelin

Must have good knowledge and experience file sharing between Windows and UNIX

Skills and experience:

• 3-7 years or equivalent of hands on Software testing experience (NOT hardware)
• Be able to come up with various test cases for given scenario and software features.
• Be able to execute test cases, file defects in detail, verify defects
• Be able to measure software (feature) performance in various scenario
• Familiarity with UNIX/Windows files systems
• Be able to create various file types.
• Be able to create and mount file shares.
• Understanding of Networking essentials (TCP/IP, Internet)
• Familiarity with Java (be able to read the code).
• Experience in testing client/server type applications.
• Familiarity with SQL
• Be able to create tables, insert/update data.

Big Plus

Know the technology of;

• CIFS, jCIFS, SMB, NFS
• Experience in or be able to install/configure/create various test data in the following applications (in the order of priority)
• Oracle/MS SQL/DB2
• Lotus Domino

Ability to install, configure, and generate various test data sets for the following applications:

MS Exchange (outlook), Sharepoint, Lotus Notes, LiveLink, Database

Execute test cases for the above, identify the test coverage improvements and turn them into test cases.

Savvy with UNIX filesystem, storage technology and understanding and/or experience in enterprise level deployment are big plus.
