Positions in this function maintain general ledger accounts and related activities for the production of financial statements and reports. Performs and oversees the management of account reconciliations and analyses, journal entries and reviews accounting classifications, in accordance with generally-accepted accounting principles. Analyzes and prepares financial statements, including balance sheets and statements of financial position. Involved in the monthly/quarterly 'close' process. Prepares documentation in support of external and internal audits.

Areas of responsibility include accounts receivable and medical/pharmacy billing.

Qualifications
- Masters Degree or CPA or equivalent experience.
- 5 to 7 years management experience - 20 plus employees
- 3 to 5 years of experience working with a large accounting software; exp. PeopleSoft or Oracle
- Strong analytical skills
- Knowledge of Medicaid
- Medical billing knowledge
- Healthcare industry experience required
- Advanced MS Excel skills
Desired skills:
- 2 to 5 years of managed care experience
- 3+ years of Oracle/PeopleSoft experience
