Superintendent: Mack-Cali

Gale Construction, a wholly owned subsidiary of Mack-Cali Realty Corporation, is seeking an (MEP) Superintendent that has extensive experience in the following trades: Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection and BAS for a construction project in Hammonton, NJ through approximately December 2010. Candidate will work in the field and supervise trade contractor work. Position requirements include, but are not limited to:

JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to work with construction documents and demonstrate knowledge in trade technical aspects;
- Assist in submittal and shop drawing coordination and review;
- Ability to effectively coordinate, manage and motivate trade contractors as necessary through successful close-out and completion of the project;
- Understand all aspects of construction scheduling and control of the overall project schedule;
- Demonstrate expertise in safety training and enforcement;
- Ability to understand, monitor and report on trade performance, as compared to contractual criteria, and enforce compliance;
Ability to monitor workmanship, identify non-conformance and effect corrective measures;
- Position requires occasional night and weekend hours.

The applicant must have:
- Minimum of 10 years of proficiency in all field aspects of commercial/institutional construction projects with an emphasis on MEP systems and specific experience in chilled water cooling and hot water heating systems;
- Mechanical/Electrical Degree preferred;
- Mechanical/Electrical Technical Certifications;
- OSHA 30 Certification;
- Experience in maintenance and operation of chiller/boiler plants is preferred.
