Paralegal- Contracts, Export, Legal Services
We are seeking a full-time paralegal to assist and
be a team member of its staff in the Contracts, Export and Legal Services
Department responsible for managing the contracts administration and export
compliance for its business units worldwide.
The candidate must have familiarity in legal concepts, practices and
procedures in private and public sector contract administration including
review, drafting and negotiation of contracts.
Intellectual Property experience is required. Typical contracts include
Software Licensing, Sales Agency/Reseller, Non-Disclosure, Consulting/Technical
Services, Royalty arrangements, Vendor agreements, Purchase Orders, Office
Leases, etc. The candidate will also be
required to respond to various legal related matters and corporate projects,
i.e., company formations, corporate resolutions and document maintenance,
contracts record retention, etc..
The ideal candidate will also have working knowledge or
experience in US and UK/EC export laws (ITAR, EAR, etc.) responsible for daily
export compliance activities in support of the Company’s export of software and
technology, and implementation of procedures and training for all business
units worldwide. Duties include license
requirement screenings, research, regulations review and analysis, and
maintenance of databases and export records.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The following skills are required:
- Bachelors Degree
- Paralegal Certification
- 5 years minimum Contracts draft/review/negotiation
experience
- Export Compliance related experience a plus
- Strong interpersonal verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task in a high volume environment
- Analytical and Organizational Skills
- Take initiative and be a decision maker
- Ability to respond to customers and employees, world-wide,
in a positive and efficient manner.
- Must be willing to perform own administrative tasks
