Vice President, Sales - Government Solutions   



We have a number of new business development positions for sales of our outsourcing services to State and Local government.  This individual will be able to work virtually from a home-based office.  The Sales VP will be responsible for new business development for our Government Solutions organization.  Strong relationship selling and proven ability to build and maintain a pipeline of multi-million dollar contracts and a ''hunter'' mentality are essential in this role.  Experience selling to the government is highly desired.




THIS IS A VIRTUAL POSITION WITH MULTI-STATE (KY/TN) GOVERNMENT SALES RESPONSIBILITY



 


General responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:


 



  • Responsible for opening new business with State and Local government in assigned geography.

  • Identify leads and makes initial customer contact.

  • Qualify, research, track and develop leads into viable business opportunities; makes clients aware of ACS’ technical and professional capabilities.

  • Conduct scanning of internal and external environment in which ACS, competitors and potential clients operate.

  • Build and maintain network of colleagues, partners and customers to share information and obtain prospects.

  • Develop and make business case presentations to clients.

  • Assist management team in proposal preparation activities.

  • Participate in trade shows, conferences, etc. to sustain industry and client awareness of ACS’ services and capabilities.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of all of the organization's products and services; may possess specialized knowledge on specific products or services.

  • Proficient at strategically positioning ACS as an industry and technology segment leader.

  • All other duties as assigned.


 


Requirements:


 



  • Expertise in developing strategic, top-down sales solutions with extended cycle times

  • Experience selling BPO to state/county/local government entities in areas of: Electronic Payment Systems, Child Support Services, Customer Care, Program Eligibility determination, and/or Public Safety/Justice required.

  • Significant experience and interaction directly with key State agency personnel and Legislative leaders to advance program initiatives.

  • Competent in strategic sales and planning, sales and business forecasting.
