Responsibilities: This position establishes the vision for and provides leadership in the delivery of excellent patient care and in the achievement of a variety of facility/regional/system initiatives. This position oversees direct patient care activities and clinical education and development. High performance is essential in improving operational effectiveness; assuring customer satisfaction, clinical excellence, physician and employee satisfaction; and in developing and implementing strategic initiatives. As a member of the facility's executive team, the CNO participates in decisions impacting the facility and operational performance. The incumbent may be a member of the regional leadership team and participates in activities related to regional strategies. Additionally, the CNO participates with the other system CNOs in establishing evidence based standards of practice, both clinical and managerial, and ensuring the company's ability to reliably meet those standards. The CNO may assume full administrative responsibility in the absence of the CEO.
Qualifications: The position requires licensure as a professional nurse in the state of practice. A Masters of Science degree is required. Bachelor's degree and/or Master's degree must be in Nursing. Clinical and management experience demonstrating progressive leadership development and competency is also required.
