Plant Maintenance Supervisor



HReed & Company, an executive search firm, is currently conducting a search for a Houston based energy company that is seeking to fill a Plant Maintenance Supervisor position.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum ten years maintenance experience in the gas processing, refining or chemical industry.
  • Minimum five years in a supervisory/managerial role of maintenance personnel
  • Must be experienced with computerized maintenance systems such as Maximo or similar application.
  • Degree in mechanical or chemical engineering not required; preferred.
  • Working knowledge of PSM programs
  • Specific experience in maintenance of Claus Sulfur Plants, Amine Systems, Gas Compression, integral and separable, Cryogenic Extraction plants and Fractionation.
  • Maintenance of pumps, vessels, valves, piping, instrumentation and control systems
  • Project management experience in installation of compression, process systems and plant modifications a plus.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Develop maintenance plans to ensure reliability and availability
  • Execute maintenance activities in a timely manner to minimize the effects on production
  • Assist in development of maintenance and capital budgets
  • Identify, propose and execute plant improvement and maintenance projects
  • Provide support for PSM
