Account Resolution Specialists
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Local medical receivables company has an opening for a full time Account Resolution Specialist located at a local hospital.
Account Resolution Specialists work with aged and denied insurance claims on behalf of our clients. We call carriers for status updates, resumbit claims and write appeals when necessary.
Background in medical claims billing (follow-up/account resolution) is preferred. We are looking for applicants with experience with all payors Commercial, Medicare and Medicaid included. Experience with Ohio Bureau of Workers compensation billing necessary. Other duties as assigned by management.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma is required
- Experience with Excel is required
- Experience in medical billing field (hospital claims experience is preferred)
- Experience with following up on insurance denials and appeal protocols
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD9 & CPT coding
- Experience with Medicaid claims is helpful
