Vice President, Strategic Marketing

Job Description:

Responsibilities


As the Vice President of Strategic Marketing at Oxygen Media, you will help make Oxygen known as an innovative and client-focused partner. You will lead a team in long-term strategic thinking and develop imaginative initiatives that are executed at the highest level of quality. You will report directly to the SVP of Marketing.



You will:

- Lead the development of strategic and innovative multiplatform initiatives to generate ad sales revenue (includes product integration, promotions and sponsorships)

- Balance client goals and requests with Oxygen brand requirements

- Continuously identify and evaluate key marketplace trends; seek opportunities for Oxygen to create relevant advertiser offerings and foster positive and effective working relationship ensuring open lines of communication and the ability to provide actionable solutions

- Work with research to continually develop compelling case studies and positioning

- Work with programming to strategically schedule sponsorship opportunities/programming events according to calendar and client needs

- Create annual trade marketing plan; lead pre-planning sessions with sales management to make sure needs are met

- Develop upfront presentation strategy and messaging plan; liaise with sales management, research, programming, on air, creative services, publicity to implement

- Be responsible for planning, monitoring and submission of budget and staffing plan

- Be a member of the ad sales management team; meet weekly with senior executives

- Manage and inspire the Strategic Marketing team

Qualifications


Basic Qualifications:

- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree

- Minimum of 10 years experience in marketing/ad agency or within entertainment & media

- Experience in sales marketing or business-to-business marketing
