SiRF Technology builds and markets highly complex products for GPS, wireless communication, and consumer applications that consist of embedded microprocessor, specialized DSP engine, complex memory and power management schemes, as well as external communications interfaces.

We are looking for a first class software engineer with good design and process background. The role will be to continually improve and expand our embedded GPS software infrastructure by the implementation of complex signal processing and control algorithms. You will be joining an experienced and dynamic team that continually strives to improve the technical abilities and quality of our products.

Responsibilities:
  • Implement new capabilities in existing real-time embedded software to achieve improved throughput at reduced signal and power levels in a reduced memory footprint.
  • Implement state of the art signal processing algorithms to improve acquisition, tracking, and navigation.
  • Provide analysis of software implementations to validate resulting performance and determine required corrective action.
  • Assess product quality in customer configurations.
Qualifications:
  • Excellent C programming skills in a real-time, multi-threaded embedded environment.
  • Strong mathematical and DSP skills.
  • Knowledge of signal processing algorithms for signal acquisition, tracking, and/or navigation.
  • Familiarity with development tools such as emulators, logic analyzers, protocol analyzers and oscilloscopes.
  • Excellent analytic and communication skills.
  • Experience with ARM processor cores is desirable.
  • Masters degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
  • 1-3 years experience in software development.
