Job description:

We are looking for a spacecraft electrical test technician.

Set up, adjust, and validate standard test apparatus or device test equipment to conduct functional, operational, environmental and life tests to evaluate performance and reliability of prototype and/or production model satellites per the applicable test procedures.

Perform S/C performance testing of communications, telemetry and command, thermal, power, propulsion and attitude/control subsystems per the applicable procedure.

Understand the operation of various types of test equipment such as oscilloscopes and DVMs. Familiar with windows and Linux style PC operating systems.

Determine methods and sequence of operations to test components and systems in conformance with published procedures, engineering specifications.

Write technical reports utilizing S/C log books, TARs and NCR's to describe and illustrate operating characteristics, malfunctions, and deviations from design specifications for vehicle and system engineers review.

Nonessential Functions of the job:

Support in maintaining spacecraft level test procedures.

Gain understanding of basic spacecraft level test script methodology.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate must possess an AS/AA Electronics degree and 5 yrs. satellite integration and test experience or related experience required. Must possess technical knowledge of at least two of the following subsystems: Power, Thermal, Payload, Propulsion, Command & Telemetry or ADCS. 5 years minimum related experience. Must have strong background in electronics, adhering to procedures and attention to detail. Must read, understand, and follow company's quality policies and ISO 9001/AS9100 directives. Must be able to effectively communicate and interact with other team members. Must have good teamwork skills.
