Senior Firmware Engineer (Storage)

We are seeking a Senior Storage Firmware Engineer, that can join a team of professionals in developing exciting real-time firmware SoC devices with embedded MIPS processors.
Position Responsibilities:
Specification of features and architecture of firmware components for new products
Technically lead small teams in planning, design, and implementation, verification and tracking of firmware components
Design, development, integration, debugging, and verification of embedded firmware in C and Assembly
Product release and maintenance
Program embedded MIPS processors to implement core firmware/software subsystems.
Participate in detailed design and code reviews of implementations
Troubleshoot and resolve complex software problems in embedded real-time systems.
Analyze firmware performance (frame rates, cycle counts, cache utilization)
Write comprehensive engineering documentation.
Present technical information to small teams of engineers and technical marketing personnel.
Candidate Qualifications:
BSEE or BS Computer Science/Math (emphasis in storage processing a plus)
7+ years of software & firmware system development for real-time streaming media systems, or demonstrated comparable experience
Demonstrated ability to conceive, design, implement and document complex firmware systems.
Detailed working knowledge of firmware design & implementation
Designer of embedded software systems
Proficient programmer in C & assembly for embedded devices
Knowledgeable in use of tool chains & debug tools
Effective communicator (verbal and written) of technical ideas
Ability to plan work and lead product development team
Knowledge of RTOS constructs including processes, threads, scheduling, synchronization mechanisms, memory management
Highly motivated
Additional Desirable Skills:
Experience in storage protocol development such as SCSI, Fiber-Channel, SAS/SATA, RAID and/or enclosure management
Experience with RAID/HBA and SAS/SATA/SCSI architectures
Have implemented RAID protection algorithms
Knowledge of OS driver architectures in Windows/Linux
