Warehouse Manager - Unit Supply Specialist: Army National Guard

The National Guard’s Unit Supply Specialist (USS) is the Soldier who makes sure the unit and fellow Soldiers have what they need when they need it. In this role, your keen eye and management ability will keep warehouse functions running smoothly and keep the Guard moving forward. After your paid training you will feel comfortable stepping into a civilian warehouse management career.

As a Soldier in the Army National Guard, you join an elite group of warriors who train part-time to be ready full-time, should their State or Nation call them to serve. The Guard is the oldest branch of the military and its members have a long and noble history of serving at home and abroad to ensure the safety and freedom of their fellow citizens.

Major Duties

• Receives, inspects, inventories, loads, unloads, segregates, stores, issues, delivers and turns-in supplies and equipment
• Prepares all unit/organizational supply documents
• Maintains automated supply system for accounting supplies and equipment
• Secures and controls weapons and ammunition in security areas
• Schedules and performs preventive and organizational maintenance on weapons

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (If you do not have a diploma or GED, you may still apply – ask a recruiter about how the Army National Guard can help you earn your GED)
• Must be between the ages of 17 and 42
• Must have normal color vision
• Must be able to pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards
• Must be able to lift heavy objects
