Position: Business/Software Consultant (for a ‘cool’ company)

This job will require you to:

• Disrupt the status quo
• Work closely with people and gather a thorough understanding of how they perform their job
• Research and be aware of innovative technologies and technology strategies
• Advocate, prove and implement improvements to the way work is done at our clients
• Be able to implement, design and program using software that you--most likely--are not currently familiar with.

Daily Responsibilities:

• Interviewing and observing people to determine how things are currently done
  
• Creating documents and processes based on your observations
  
• Assisting in various electronic automation tasks
  

Qualifications:

• Candidate must show extreme competence, breadth of experience and (for most candidates) have graduated college.
• Candidate must be computer-savvy and be very familiar with Word and Excel. Wordperfect knowledge is a plus. Work with macros is a plus.
• Candidate must have familiarity with computer programming & scripting. Not “be able to program” necessarily, but certainly must generally understand programming.

Relevant Experience (these are the sorts of experience that we would like to see):

• Ethnographic/survey experience (specifically in sociology or psychology, for example)
• Experience ‘tinkering’ with computers or other projects
• Experience working with law firms or work somewhere in the legal process
• Research experience
• Troubleshooting experience (such as non-scripted customer support)
• Experience conceiving and completing a project
• Leadership experience

About Us:

Live Management applies the fast-paced, free-thought environment of a startup company to solve specific problems at mid-sized firms, mostly those in backwards industries. We are currently run by the founders, Ryan and Justin. You will be the first full-time in-house person we hire and will have significant autonomy. 

Location:

We are temporarily located at 1080 Main St. in Pawtucket, we are currently building out large open-floorplan space at the Lorraine Mills Complex located at 560 Mineral Spring Ave. in Pawtucket (a cool place -- detailed here: http://tinyurl.com/yzyplyl ). Both locations are on RIPTA bus routes and include plenty of parking if you have a car. We will maintain our office at 1080 Main St. and this is the building where you will work initially.

Compensation:

We will pay what is necessary to get a great employee. This position will start at $30-32k depending on experience and fit. If that is close to what you’re looking for, please submit your resume. The current job is a salaried position on-site. Time may vary with workflow but will likely be 40-50 hours per week. Hours are, by-and-large, fairly flexible.
