Description

We are seeking a Senior Radio-frequency Integrated Circuit (RFIC) Designer to join our Engineering Team. In this role you will be responsible for the design and layout of various types of RFICs.

Responsibilities Include:

Design and layout of RF Circuits such as LNA's, mixers, VCO's, variable gain amplifiers and buffer amplifiers.

Working with other members of the Engineering Team to develop and test products as required by Marketing specifications.

Specific Qualifications Include:

BSEE, MSEE or PhD preferred

A minimum of 10 years development experience in the semiconductor industry, including experience with low phase noise RF design, and microwave design techniques

Familiarity with design, characterization, and modeling of custom devices and passive elements

Experience with on-chip, package and printed circuit board (PCB) parasitic and design issues

Knowledge of common low frequency circuits such as opamps, operations transconductance amplifiers (OTAs) and bias circuits

Experience developing circuits for wireless standards

Experience in the use and development of high-Q inductors and varactors

Proficient with such tools as Cadance Spectre and SpectreRF, Virtuoso and Assura; also with Microwave design tools ADS, Microwave Office of MMICAD

Knowledge of RF Testing is desirable

Strong communication skills and demonstrated success in meeting design deadlines

A self-starter and team-player, with demonstrated success in a small company environment
