JOB SUMMARY

The Director/VP Business Development leads all business development efforts as they relate to partnership marketing: Acquisition of new accounts via development of new partners and active management of existing partnerships, Stimulation of account opening/retention activity within existing partner account base, and Develop and field new customer events (non-educational) to promote oX and open new accounts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

· Develop a consistent stream of new marketing partnership agreements:

o Analyze market for traditional and non-traditional prospective partners. Create “target” list for acquisition efforts.

o Meet prospective partners face-to-face to analyze and understand their business model, metrics and partnership potential.

o Produce mutually beneficial recommendations. Negotiate marketing agreements which provide acceptable ROI for oX.

· Manage partner relationships and all partner marketing efforts.

o Develop strong relationships with key partners through regular communications and when necessary, trips to partner business.

o Effectively manage partner relationships to prevent attrition.

o Work with oX marketing managers to create partner marketing collateral including online banners, landing pages, handouts, mini-disks and/or any other material required to support partner programs.

o Work with partners to secure oX placements on partner marketing materials including their website, landing pages, etc.

o Work with Compliance officers to ensure all materials are compliant.

· Manage Business Development budget.

o Optimize new account generation with investments derived from Business Development budget.

o Work with CMO to manage monthly and quarterly budgets to meet companywide financial objectives.

o Deliver budgeted annual accounts within new account allowable target.

· Manage staff and reporting.

o Develop staff assignments and work plan to optimize productivity from limited resources.

o Create dashboard and regular periodic reporting which illustrates productivity and effectiveness of Business Development activities/spending.

o Work with DBA group to develop partner productivity indicators for partner accounts.

· Supervises Business Development Manager.

o Responsible for ongoing performance review and management of this position.

o Meets with CMO to develop action plans for current and planned projects.

QUALIFICATIONS

10 years business development and/or major account sales experience. 5 years experience within the investment industry. 2-4 years experience managing staff and large budgets $1MM plus. Possesses extensive list of contacts in the industry. Must be able to manage multiple initiatives effectively. Exceptional people skills. Must have strong leadership skills, be financial savvy and decisive. Team player. College education required, MBA preferred.
