Project Architect for building design

Description

Architect with production/design experience in preparation and layout of architectural contract documents and specifications relating to a wide variety of facility types and sizes. Independently coordinates the work of a multi-disciplined team throughout the design development and contract document phases of a project. Establishes client and internal meetings and participates in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance. Project Architects are responsible to assist Project Managers in the coordination of the workload of the Project Team through the entire project development to complete documents on schedule and within the client's and the Company's budgets. Reviews architectural documents for areas of conflict with all disciplines. Writes/edits architectural specifications, coordinates and assists, with affected disciplines, with any addendum, RFIs, CPRs and change orders, and is responsible to incorporate agreed upon changes into the project documents. Provides, on an as needed basis, construction contract administration. Candidates must demonstrate excellent client management, customer service orientation, and presentation skills.

Qualifications

BS/BA Degree in Architecture (or equivalent)
8 - 12+ years of experience
Registered Architect or working on getting registered
Strong knowledge of codes and good planning/scheduling skills
10 years experience in institutional or distribution center design for positions in our Government or Manufacturing/Distribution business teams. Must be experienced working with a multidisciplinary design team. Proficiency with Autocad or Revit is required."
