Dir-Laboratory: Kingwood Medical Center

Responsible for all functions of the clinical laboratory and pathology, including ensuring compliance with all accrediting agencies, hospital infection control, safety, and education policies. Responsible for personnel management, purchasing of supplies and equipment, preparation of financial and budget reports. Sets an example for all laboratory employees as it pertains to customer satisfaction, leadership, and cooperation with other departments in the hospital. Communicates effectively with administration, pathologists, physicians, other department directors and employees. Performs laboratory testing as necessary and is Clinical sound in analyzing general laboratory concerns. Employee will be responsible for knowledge and skill necessary to provide care based on physical, psychological, educational, safety and related criteria for the neonate, infant child, adolescent, adult and geriatric population.

Bachelors degree in Medical Technology. Masters degree in Health Sciences preferred.
Seven years experience in a clinical laboratory. Three years management experience.


Proven technical ability. Proven leadership ability.
Good written and verbal communication skills.



License/Registration/Certification:
MT (ASCP) or equivalent
