Senior IT Systems Analyst - Golden Valley, MN
Primary Responsibilities:
- Work directly with the customer to understand business needs, understand current and future product offerings and be an active participant in the development of a solution and deliver the artifacts as needed
- Select the appropriate elicitation technique to efficiently identify critical requirement
- Analyze business requests and be able to make technology needs and requirement assessments to meet the strategic direction of the organization
- Be able to ask the right questions to get to the real business needs and dive deeper into initial business requests
- Facilitate JAD sessions to define, analyze, refine, validate, and prioritize business / functional requirements
- Create Use Cases, process flows, functional and non-functional specifications
- Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously and work independently
- Acting as the liaison for the business segments during project development lifecycle
- Working with the business leaders, training, production support and QA teams to understand the existing and new system functionality as needed
- Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs
- Interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts
- Supporting quality assurance through review of test cases
Qualifications Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 year's business / systems analyst experience
- Minimum 5 years experience with the SDLC
- Minimum 3 years experience with SQL
- 2+ years Information Technology related experience is required
- MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project, Visio and Access)-Proficient
Assets:
- Healthcare industry experience
- Relational database experience
- Client/server and intranet/Internet technology experience is preferred
- It Leadership experience is a plus
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
