Position Information:
Job Title: Laser Technician

Location: Santa Clara , CA
Duration: Indefinite
Compensation: Open $/hour

Job description:

We are looking for someone to perform functions associated with all laser assembly operations including working with engineers in setup and calibration tasks as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies. Uses sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments, or equipment. Determines and may assist in developing methods or procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process. Works with engineers in conducting experiments.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate must possess the following skills:

  • Extensive experience with the alignment and assembly of optical devices especially lasers.
  • Comfortable with electronic and electro-optical test and measurement systems.
  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience.
  • AS degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Ability to use standard PC software including MSWord, MSExcel, MSOutlook, etc.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while ensuring safety and quality results.
