Job Responsibilities:
The Promotions Coordinator works on all phases of promotion production for the HarperCollins Children’s Book Division including catalogs, displays, and promotional materials. Specific tasks are as follows.

Promotional Materials/Production:
§ Close interaction with Ad/Promo design team and members of the marketing department

§ Traffic all proofs and work with design to ensure proper production standards are met

§ Source, budget, and produce all promotional materials, including brochures, giveaways, posters, etc.


Displays:

  • Work with Manger in the creation of all promotional displays
  • Develop, communicate, and ensure accuracy of all display work order information to inventory and warehouse
  • Work closely with sales to ensure/communicate proper configurations and delivery dates for all account specific (mass market and retail) requests




Book Expo America:

  • Work with Manager to coordinate Children’s Division attendance at all BEA functions
  • Coordinate shipping for all materials to show with warehouse (i.e. galleys, books for signings and giveaways)
  • Update BEA itinerary
  • Work with Manager to create staff booth schedule and BEA attendee packets



Digital Catalog
§ Coordinate and create three seasonal digital catalogs

§ Organize schedules and route to in house departments

§ Work with various in-house departments to make sure information is correct and up to date

§ Troubleshoot all art and copy issues


Online:
§ Liaison with online marketing and marketing for project approval (micro sites, contests, quizzes, third party site, etc.)

§ Work with and meet weekly with online group to ensure all jobs meet their push dates marketing


Qualifications
§ Candidate must have 1-2 years work experience within the publishing industry, ad/promo or marketing experience preferred.
