CNA to provide in-home assistance to elderly & persons with disabilities throughout Dane County



Personal Living Assistants, (PLA), provide in-home, personal care assistance for persons with physical and cognitive disabilities as well as elderly individuals. Hours worked and services provided may vary according to the member's schedule, needs and disability. This position will cover weekday and alternate weekend hours to fill open shifts. The PLA will be expected to perform the job duties with more than one member of our organization based on the schedule provided. This schedule is subject to change weekly. The PLA will be expected to call on a designated day during the week to obtain this schedule. Applicants must be dependable, courteous, and respectful. Must be 18 yrs or older; ability to lift 50 lbs without restrictions; ability to complete necessary documentation thoroughly and correctly; ability to follow care plan; ability to communicate effectively with supervisors in English; CNA required; 6 mo. continuous employment with same employer within the past 2 yrs.; 6 mo. previous personal care experience; have access to a car, valid drivers license without restrictions to time of day or hours driven, & be able to maintain and provide proof of current auto insurance; ability to travel throughout Dane Cty.; all applicants must also undergo and pass criminal background check.
