ELECTRONICS CONTROLS PRODUCT MANAGER: Eagle One Careers, Inc

Responsible for all aspects of product planning related to electronic controls across all divisions. Identifies controls needs by product and develops new product plans to satisfy those needs. Develops short and long-term electronic controls strategies that are coordinated across all divisions. Works closely with Product Planning at each division to ensure that electronic controls strategy is integrated with and supports overall product plans. Identifies controls trends and develops appropriate product strategies and plans. Stays abreast of emerging controls technologies. Coordinates controls activities with product managers. Actively participates in supplier selection efforts and in supply chain strategy for electronic controls.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manages the breadth and depth of electronic control offerings in all product lines to maximize Specialty and Parts profitability. Coordinates electronic control integration into all product plans.
• Manages updates to the controls product plan identifying near and long-term product requirements.
• Supports the product portfolio in tune with the business strategies and objectives of the Specialty Products Division, the Operational/Production Divisions, and the Parts Division.
• Provides Marketing leadership and/or support, coordinating with Corporate Marketing and Division Marketing as needed to ensure successful implementation of product plans.
• Coordinates the development and modification of all supporting collateral material related to electronic controls.
• Domestic and international travel required.
• Other duties as required.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: No

• Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university Minimum 8 years experience in controls and software product management for appliances or similar products. (Experience must include background in energy and power management controls)
• Strong financial, analytical and reasoning skills
• Demonstrated ability to lead and work within a team environment
• Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, & Power Point)
• Strong organizational, problem solving and time management skills
• Strong communication skills (e.g., business correspondence and professional customer correspondence)
• Ability to effectively develop & present information to top management, customers, suppliers and governmental / technical agencies
• Experience in project management and coordination
• Ability to work independently and make informed, defendable decisions as they relate to products, customers and strategies
• Unrestricted ability to travel domestically and internationally (Up to 30% overnight travel)

PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Masters in Business Administration
• Bachelor’s degree in technical field (e.g., electrical engineering)
• Experience in MODBUS and BACnet software
• Experience in data-gathering, classification, and analysis
• Experience in developing and implementing multi-generational product plans
• Experience in supervising employees, and monitoring and assessing performance of employees
