Scientist I Scientist II Cell Biology: Clontech

Job Title: Scientist I or Scientist II, Cell Biology Group

Clontech is seeking a highly creative, hands-on Scientist with a proven record of initiating and developing universal methodologies in the field of Cell Biology. In this position, the Scientist will develop research tools that will provide value for a broad range of applications to the research community. The candidate will be responsible for continuously identifying new requirements in emerging fields of Cell Biology and for developing innovative products to serve these demands.

The candidate will be responsible for proposal, initiation, and execution of projects with hands-on research efforts from product concept to product launch.

Primary Duties & responsibilities

· * Continuously identifies new demands for universal methodologies and research tools in the field of Cell Biology

· * Independently initiates new project concepts

· * Submits project proposals that considers the technical aspects as well as marketing opportunities and risks

· * Plans, schedules, conducts and coordinates detailed phases of each project

· * Provides innovative, problem-solving approaches to enhance the department’s capabilities

· * Communicates effectively with members of other departments and coordinates product transfer and launch of new products

Education / Experience

· Ph.D. and post-doctoral experience in Cell Biology is required

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills required

· Proven ability to independently initiate and efficiently follow through new projects in the field of universal methodology development

· Ability to present data internally and externally
