Position Description: Planning Manager position entails responsibility for Demand/Supply planning of multiple product lines within the company. Planning Manager will also be responsible for mentoring/guiding more junior team members in managing their product lines and resolution of issues. Responsibilities will include assisting Planning Director with developing, tracking and periodically publishing metrics on the performance of the Operations group, and with Senior Management presentations. Planning Manager will need to drive multiple periodic activities such as short term and long-term wafer forecasts, on-time delivery, etc and the corresponding deliverables. He will also need to drive ERP-module implementation from a user perspective to automate the Planning process to enable the company to scale in size. Implied in the above responsibilities are developing detailed understanding of the demand forecast for the different product lines, understanding product transitions from Engineering to Production, product revisions, product ramps and declines, understanding manufacturing flows, cycle-times, and yields and developing a supply pipeline to support customer demand in a timely manner in the proper mix and quantities. Responsibilities would include developing monthly wafer and assembly/test forecasts to provide to our off-shore Operations group/manufacturing partners, and developing a weekly wafer start plan. Demand management, supply management and inventory management are critical parts of the job. Close interaction with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Engineering and our off-shore Operations group is required. Excellent analytical skills, PC skills, and written and verbal communication skills are a must. Qualifications: Education: A BS degree in Operations Management/Industrial Engineering/Economics/Business/Finance is required with a high GPA. MBA preferred. Skills: Excellent analytical skills, PC skills and communication skills are a must. Experience: 5-10 years Planning experience in a Semiconductor company and familiarity with Oracle/SAP is a plus.
