Florida Career College is a private post-secondary educational institution founded in 1982 and currently owns and operates eight campuses including Miami, Hialeah, Pembroke Pines, Lauderdale Lakes, West Palm Beach, Clearwater, Brandon and Jacksonville. The College is licensed by the State of Florida, approved by the U.S. Department of Education and nationally accredited. Florida Career College specializes in programs in healthcare (allied health) business, wellness (skin care and massage therapy) and information technology.

Job Purpose:

Florida Career College is seeking qualified individuals to become full-time faculty members. Most full-time faculty members work a four (4) day work week, Monday through Thursday. Classes are conducted 9AM-1PM and 6PM-10PM.

*Promotes and nurtures the education of students by planning and tailoring courses of study according to curriculum guidelines and state requirements; monitoring, assisting with, and correcting academic efforts; providing a safe environment conducive to learning.

* Develops and presents lesson plans by using a variety of techniques, including lectures, projects, exhibits, field trips, audiovisual and library resources, computers, and the Internet.

Job Qualifications

• Proficient in Medisoft Software.
• Minimum of 2 years proficient medical coding/billing experience required.
• Processing medical insurance, billing and claims experience is a must.
• Teaching experience preferred.
• CPS, CCA, RHIT, CCS, CPC or CBCS Certification highly preferred.
• ICD-9 and CPT coding experience a plus.
• Local candidates preferred.
• Full time.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
