Position Description : Technical / Service Development
• Collaborate with ACS and customer stakeholders to establish, own and manage project management artifacts per the organization’s project management methodology.
• Collaborate with global technical staff to establish and drive technical implementation per the organization’s system design methodology.
• Works with on and offshore staff to drive synergy, productivity and resource management of our global operation.
• Regularly interacts with senior and global staff on matters concerning several functional areas and/or customers.
• Requires the ability to change the thinking of, or gain acceptance from, others in sensitive situations, without damage to the relationship.
• Successfully led three or more projects of significant complexity. Established objectives and work plans, and delegated assignments. Successfully executed senior management reviews and project quality reviews. Owned, developed, modified and executed project practices that affect immediate operations(s) and have organization-wide effect.
• Experience applying industry best practices frameworks such as CMMI and ITIL.
• Experience evangelizing and transforming an organization to standardized processes, tools and technology
• Experience with a template based project management and technical implementation methodologies
• Able to achieve a passing score on the Workplan Analysis Exercise
• PMI certification and/or extensive software process compliance and improvement experiences
• Excellent oral, written and customer interaction skills
• Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment
• Experience with high performance team building, ideally with virtual global teams
Preferred:.
• Prior experience in the implementation of financial transaction and electronic payment systems
• Public sector experience with Federal, State and/or Local customers
• Track record of excellent achievement and leadership manifested by testimonials, awards, publications and patents
• PMP Certification
Software Lifecycle
Education and Typical Years Experience:
• Bachelors Degree in IT or related field
• Project management, leadership and team building training
• At least 8 years of experience leading cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing projects and programs of significant complexity.
