Associate Director, Project Management, Global Clinical Development:

You will be responsible for multiple therapeutic areas across Early Clinical Development. Location: Oradell, NJ

Compensation:

• Very competitive base salary plus a very large and consistently paid double digit bonus, along with a strong 401(k) plan.
• Immediately available and unlimited tuition reimbursement
• Half-day Fridays during the Summer.

Responsibilities:

• You will be responsible for defining and implementing projects and study team operating models for this firm’s high-profile early clinical development area.
• Serve as Lead of the International Project Team that is bringing a particular new compound from pre-clinical through to NDA acceptance. The project team consists of representatives from all departments (i.e. PK/PD, Med Directors, Clin Ops, Data Management, Reg Affairs) that take a drug from pre-clinical through to NDA submission.
• You will oversee clinical projects (new compounds and/or new indications) by developing and implementing strategies, policies and procedures to make sure project objectives are met within prescribed time and funding parameters.
• Develop and implement processes to improve the efficiency of the clinical drug development process. Proactively identify risks to projects and come up with solutions.
• Create and compile benchmark metrics to determine project progress. Monitor and report clinical trial progress (i.e. timelines, milestones, budgets…) to appropriate clinical management team members.

Requirements:

• Ideally 8+ years of Project Management experience (timelines, budgets, negotiation, project planning) either as a member of a Clinical Research Science, Clinical Operations, or Project Management and Planning department.
• MS/PhD in science and/or MBA preferred.
• Very good people interaction skills.
• Prior success with managing multiple projects and leading/managing multi-functional teams.
