Functional Analyst

Job Description:

Akimeka Technologies, a Hawaiian based company, has an exciting opportunity for a Functional Analyst. The position is located Fort Detrick, Frederick MD and requires U.S. Citizenship. The position will work with fellow staff and project customers to continue to drive the development of the Joint Medical Asset Repository (JMAR), a web-based military medical logistics data repository / warehouse. The ideal candidate will be able to work with a minimum of supervision while ensuring the highest quality assurance and testing standards. The position will work to establish and maintain a strong working relationship with the client. The Functional Analyst will work with users to determine functional requirements then translate them into functional designs and requirements for the project team. The position will test and give feedback on development efforts. The Functional Analyst will document all requirements and testing efforts.

Education:

High School Diploma required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Required Skills:

• Five + years of military medical logistics hands-on experience
• Experienced knowledge and understanding of DoD medical logistics business processes, supply chain and IT systems
• MS Word and Excel proficiency
• Strong self-starter
• Must be a U.S. Citizen

Desired Skills:

• SQL knowledge / exposure
• Hands-on experience with the Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS) automated information system
• Hands-on experience with the Theater Army Medical Materiel Information System (TAMMIS)
• Data Warehouse experience
• Graphic design knowledge to turn client ideas into a graphical representation
