Qualifications

• You must pass a customer provided test for a welder prior to employment
• A welder must be proficient in multiple welding processes - stick, mig, and flux - tig is preferred but not required - all phases of structural welding is a plus
• You must be able to work any shift, any day, and overtime as required
• You must pass a drug screening and may be required to pass a criminal background check - some positions require HFT screening
• You must have a minimum of 3 years as a shipyard structural welder with no gaps in employment (some positions require a minimum of 5 years experience)

In addition:

• You must present an official picture ID
• You must present a valid Social Security card (non-laminated)
• You must present proof of residency
• You may be required to present a birth certificate
• You must be eligible to work in the United States (in some locations U.S. citizenship is required)
