PEDIATRIC PHARMACIST: Children's Hospital Central California

This position is accountable for providing safe and effective pharmaceutical care at CHCC. Serves as pharmacology consultant, a patient advocate, and a fiscal conscience to the healthcare team while providing pharmacy services to meet the needs of patients/care providers, physicians, nurses and other healthcare team members. Processes safe and effective drug therapy beginning with the review of physician's orders through the administration and outcome of drug therapy and includes providing clinical pharmaceutical services. The emphasis of this position is advanced pharmacy practice in a pediatric inpatient setting.

REQUIREMENTS

1. Bachelor of Pharmacy degree required.
2. Pharm. D. - Doctorate of Pharmacy preferred.
3. Current California Registered Pharmacist.
4. Residency or 1 year of experience in pediatrics and/or home care preferred.
5. Application of pharmacology and knowledge of drug distribution.
