Job Description

•Design and implementation of strategies necessary to ensure a successful new manufacturing process to build a new product keeping in mind of a high quality standard that will prevent possible customer complaints in the development process.

•Continuously measuring and reporting the current product quality level and the quality level of manufacturing processes of the body shop, paint shop and assembly up to the finished vehicle and improving on this.

•Check and evaluate the quality assurance process during manufacturing. Determine an optimal process, to work out, suggest and implement concepts and methods to improve the existing quality level of products and processes and to reduce the quality costs. •Ensure high quality products and processes with preventively work to reduce the failure rate to a minimum. Ensure to filter out sub standard products, stop the assembly process in case of quality defects and escalate faults to have a solution.

•Responsibility to manage factory internal processes to improve and maintain the customer satisfaction for Chattanooga products.

•Responsibility to manage the team including for example personnel decisions, development of personnel and engagement of personnel.

Job Requirements

5-7 years job related experience, automotive background preferred

Skills

•Analytical thinking and conceptual thinking – using logic and reason, creativity and strategic thinking and planning •Communication skills – interpersonal, presentation and written •Integration – joining people, processes or systems •Problems solving •Resource management •Computer savvy – skilled in the use of software •Negotiation skills and convincing people •Knowledge in Statistical Analysis Methods (Desired)

Specialized skills, knowledge or certifications unique to this role

Required:

•Strong understanding of quality systems and processes

•Capability to design and develop processes to assure process efficiency

•Familiar with Manufacturing processes

Basic German language

•Valid Drivers license

•IT-Systems, MS-Office package

Desired:

•Previous automobile construction, manufacturing knowledge

•International experience

•Knowledge of inspection techniques and methods (like DOE, 6 Sigma)

•Technical knowledge of VW specifications

•Knowledge of the VW Group Systems and VW products

Work flexibility (travel requirements, work schedule, etc.)

•Be flexible to travel on short notice and travel outside the US

•Being able to promptly adjust work plans to address urgent tasks

•Being available outside regular work time in urgent cases.
