- This is senior executive level secretarial work within the Mission Support occupation.
- Positions are located throughout the Agency or are assigned to Community staffs.
- Incumbents of this position provide direct Senior Executive (SE) office support.
- Special Assistants manage the overall workflow and coordination of the Senior Executives responsibilities throughout the Agency and the Community.
- Incumbents are expected to exercise a wide latitude of discretion regarding workflow, priorities, and methods in addition to an in-depth knowledge of the various executives styles, methods of operation, relationships, and authorities.
- Work includes scheduling, managing, and disseminating the Senior Executives calendar, controlling access to the Senior Executive, monitoring e-mail and other types of correspondence for action items, and drafting and preparing non-routine letters, memos, documents, and various reports.
Qualifications:
- Positions at this level are expected to interact with high-ranking officials both within the Agency and throughout the Community, Congress, the White House, and the private sector.
- Intrinsic to the Special Assistants work is knowledge of the Agency, the Community, and other government agencies.
Incumbents may provide general supervision and guidance to junior secretaries. - Three years of progressively responsible executive office support experience with exposure to different offices/directorates in the Agency.
Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. This position requires the candidate to already possess an active Top Secret/SCI with Full Scope Poly Security Clearance and to maintain the clearance.
