Staff Development Educator: Sentara Healthcare

Provides leadership in planning, delivering, and evaluating the orientation, training, and continuing education for staff. Serves as a champion in advancing patient safety initiatives. Looking for Critical Care, Medicine-Cardiac, Progressive Care or Human patient simulator experience.

Education:

Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing. Bachelor's degree in a specialty related or educational field.

Experience: Minimum of one-year teaching experience required with three years current demonstrated competency in nursing. Leadership skills required. Knowledge of patient simulation equipment, experience in MS word, Windows, Excel and web page development helpful.

Licensure: Currently licensed to practice as an RN by the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Other: Demonstrates knowledge and experience of adult learning principles, program and curriculum development and ability to use a variety of teaching methodologies considering different learning styles of diverse populations.
