Description
Avis Budget Group a global leader in the travel services industry is seeking a full-time Human Resources Representative based out of New Orleans, LA location. This generalist position will support our Southeast Piedmont Operations and work with both union/non-union employees, partner with all levels of management and deliver business-focused HR solutions throughout an assigned territory. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Manage full-cycle recruitment to ensure organizations are staffed and match the anticipated business demands; partner with HR Manager on various HR-related laws, policies and practices, such as worker's compensation, FMLA and EEO. In addition, work closely with management to promote a workplace environment that successfully balances positive employee relations with the corporation's business objectives; support local management to develop and implement programs and practices that improve the effectiveness of all locations and provide additional HR support as needed.
This position reports to the Human Resources Manager for Southeast Piedmont Operations and shares responsibility for the Southeast Region with the HR team. The territory covers locations in and around New Orleans, Nashville and Memphis. 30% travel required, must be flexible for unplanned travel.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree.
- 2 years Human Resources experience in a generalist capacity.
The successful candidate must possess and/or be willing to do the following:
- Experience working and supporting a large nonexempt & management employee population preferred.
- Ability to work effectively as a team player, both as the sole HR professional on a business team or within the HR function.
- Strong HRIS and computer skills preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
- Proven ability to effectively interface with all levels of management.
- High attention to detail while handling multiple tasks.
- Experience with confidential matters and business decisions.
