To prevent any run outs or retains of Fuel
To save customers money by optimally sourcing or load shifting
Execute daily dispatch process and procedures per customer.
Source customer replenishment orders based on contract, daily best buy or other directed requirements for assigned customer locations.
Ensure all dispatched orders are sourced correctly and timely.
Interface daily with common carriers, distributors, jobbers, and customer site contacts and ensure all communications are handled in a timely and professional manner.
Use Fuel Management software application to accomplish daily tasks (including accurately updating application information regarding deliveries, inventories and usage)
Report dispatch and delivery issues and; includes identification of root cause, action or resolution, and measures taken to prevent reoccurrences of issues and events. Create and track issues for individual dispatching and ensure that all reports in the PIMS issue tracking system are up to date.
Report on-time for daily dispatch shift and cover on-call 24X7 on days when assigned as the on-call dispatcher
Identify fuel management software application errors, as well as enhancements for application which allow for great scalability and daily work flow efficiencies.
Follow all dispatch procedures and policies and work to reengineer processes that are sub optimal.
REQUIREMENTS:
Past use of sophisticated software that requires critical decision making (i.e. not merely entering data into a screen, but interacting with an enterprise level software in a way where the user is required to make decisions outside of the application that impact how effective the application will be)
Customer service experience
Ability to do shift work
Familiarity with fuel dispatch a plus
Bachelors degree in MIS or related field a plus
