RN - Intensive Care Unit: Exempla Healthcare

The Registered Nurse opening is in our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Critical Care Department. This newly remodeled, staff-designed 18-bed unit cares for real or potential hemodynamic patients with instability due to acute illness or injury, with a focus on the non-cardiac patient. Here at the ICU our nurse-patient ratio is 2:1. Caregivers provide around-the-clock care through a single station with direct views to their patients through a convenient and integrated nursing "nook." Each ICU nurse is provided with a unit-specific cellar phone that enables a great deal of flexibility and contact with providers. You'll also appreciate the self-propelled beds and bedside clinical supplies.

To fulfill this vital role as an ICU Registered Nurse, you'll work alongside other highly experienced ICU staff including clinical supervisors, clinical nurse specialists, and patient care and unit technicians. You'll gain significant experience and skill-set abilities through various procedures including sedation, ventilator management, cardiac monitoring, PA catheters, arterial lines, ICP monitoring, mental health holds, pain assessment and patient care documentation. We'll value your input through our clinical practice committees and other unit "best practice" efforts.

• Current Colorado Registered Nurse licensure
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Preferred: 1 to 2 years critical care or ICU step-down experience at a regional or urban hospital
