This position will serve as the on-site KY functional SME for the remote ACS HMS business team. Direct interface with the State’s business owners will be expected making superior communication skills (written/verbal) pivotal.
Specific detailed requirements include:
- The highest level of interpersonal and client negotiation skills
- Superior ability to understand complex client needs and translate those into functional requirements. Proven experience with use case modeling a strong requirement.
- Background working with Clinical Systems, including analytics
- A working knowledge (not just basic familiarity) with: 1) Pharmacy and ePrescribing, 2) Laboratory, 3) Medical Practice
- Working knowledge of systems integration HL7
- Working knowledge of source data and content providers (such as First Data Bank)
- Reporting and Analytic experience in: 1) Outcomes, 2) Risk Assessment, 3) General Chart book
- Working knowledge of data relationships including: X12, NCPDP, HL7
- Working knowledge of Evidence Based Medicine (EBM), Medication Therapy Management (MTM), ProDUR, RetroDUR, etc.
- Some former association and/or exposure to standards organizations (HL7, IHE, NCPDP, ASHP) and Quality organizations (ISMP, JCAHO, PQRI, etc.)
Salary/rates will be reflective of experience with the above requirements.
Position requires 80% onsite for the next 4-6 months in the Frankfurt/Lexington, KY area.
Education and Typical Years Experience
Education: Undergraduate degree in business administration, computer science, or management information systems, or comparable industry experience or education.
Experience: Industry Experience –Involvement with business applications related to electronic medical health records or government healthcare is preferred, but not required. Equivalent educational experience may be substituted for this requirement. 4-6 years experience working in Health Care application development IT environment or equivalent education experience. Candidate must have at least two years experience with Microsoft Office products. Experience with Access, SQL Server, or other database software is a plus.

Candidate must work well without close supervision. Communication Skills – Candidate must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
