Gather and research all "offline" criminal reports and eviction notices requests generated by the VantageData and Credit Retriever systems. Process all recommendation requests per the specified contractual obligations of the customer. Complete all research requests using knowledge of various criminal database resources translate criminal reports when information is incomplete or missing to identify positive matches of applicants to a criminal report. Convey all county results using fax server application. Provide customers with daily feedback and status updates on requests.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Research and review all "offline" criminal reports and eviction notice requests generated by the Vantage Data and CreditRetriever systems. Send responses back to the customer, notifying by letter through the fax server application.
2. Complete all "Recommendation" requests, generated by CreditRetriever customers. Review the criminal files returned and documents the results in the "Recommendation Log". Convey results to the customer, via the fax server application.
3. Process additional research requests, for CreditRetriever and Vantage Data customers. Contact the courts, review supplemental websites and/or perform county level searches to acquire the necessary information requested by the customers. Follow up with customers by phone and/or fax.
4. Convey all county level results requested by CreditRetriever and Vantage Data customers. When notified that results are available, access the results from provider's website and return to customer by fax server application or Vantage Data website.
5. Answer escalated customer call from the Customer Support dept. regarding criminal search processes and/or results of a background check. Provide proactive status updates to customers regarding pending search requests, respond to additional requests from customers.
6. Translate criminal reports when information is incomplete or missing to identify positive matches of applicants to a criminal report utilizing various resources.
7. Process all rush requests made by customers via the phone, fax or email. Use various resources such as contacting the Dept. of Corrections, Probation Departments and Court Clerks offices to gather the necessary information.
8. Maintain the Criminal Research and Criminal Recommendation action log on TURSS's intranet that is used by Customer Support, Account Management and Sales as a resource to provide customer with real time answers.
9. Assist in resolving issues or concerns related to the accuracy of consumer's criminal files.
10. Abide by all state and federal laws regarding privacy and the FCRA (Fair Credit Reporting Act)
11. Performs other related duties as assigned.

**Must be able to work Tuesday through Saturday or Sunday through Thursday.
High School diploma or equivalent required, college degree in any area of study preferred. 1-2 years in a Customer Service role.
Previous criminal Justice background experience or education is a plus.
Must be literate with all Microsoft Windows applications and have the ability to navigate the internet.
Must be able to display a strong ability to locate information through established resources and locate additional new resources for future use.
Good communication skills both written and verbal with ability to professionally articulate with customers on the phone.
Must have excellent problem solving skills and be able to interpret and navigate Criminal reports for relevant information.
Must be proficient with typing/ data entry.
