Market Research Manager, Oxford University Press, Inc.

Full Time career position + excellent benefits. Location: New York , NY

In an ever-changing publishing environment, OUP's commitment to a strong customer and market focus has never been more important. We are seeking a Market Research Manager to

  • design and oversee major qualitative and quantitative market research projects
  • train and assist various departments (editorial, online product development, marketing, sales, production, etc.) on smaller research projects
  • create a customer centric culture that consistently employs a disciplined approached to market research
  • assists senior management in prioritizing research projects

Candidates must be smart, organized, and efficient. Strong analytical skills as well as excellent written and oral communication skills are necessary. The ideal candidate should have an interest in publishing and a strong desire to understanding the changing landscape of academic research, education, and consumers' reading habits.

Requirements:

  • 4 year degree, ideally with coursework in Sociology, Marketing, or Market Research
  • Minimum of 4 years work experience in Market Research, Market Development or Market-Focused Product Development
  • Experience conducting quantitative and / or qualitative market research
  • Experience with Voice of Customer methodology and / or publishing is a major asset
