 | Manager - Studio Systems Engineering Job Description:
Responsibilities This position reports to the Director, Studio Systems Engineering and has two main responsibilities:
Management of assigned engineering projects and teams. This includes:
Creating and maintaining master project timelines and budgets
Coordinating all activity with internal and external clients and vendors
Working with internal clients to define project and budget requirements
Supporting large and small-scale projects and special engineering requests in a timely manner
Developing and overseeing the work of assigned project managers.
Developing project reports, financial tracking data and process improvements for the production engineering team.
Managing the design, implementation and on-going support of NBC Universal Studio Operations at 30 Rock broadcast center in New York. This includes:
Managing a team of project managers and broadcast systems engineers to design, build and maintain state of the art HD and SD studio and control room facilities. This includes the day-to-day management of union staff and freelance engineers, maintenance engineers and implementation teams.
Signature: ~HJ~~CB~ Qualifications Bachelors degree
Minimum 5 years engineering and project management experience working in a union environment
Minimum 5 years sound project management skills managing multiple large and small-scale mission critical projects
Demonstrated expertise in HD Technology and digital audio, data and communications systems
Knowledge of IT infrastructure such as LAN and WAN networking, network engineering and SNMP monitoring systems
Fully versed in MS Office, MS Project and MS Power point

Desired Bachelors degree in Engineering or other related technical field
Ability to work across multiple groups to drive technology requirements
Scripting or development experience
