Job Description
Position Profile Member of the Enterprise Computing Platforms team, providing database design, implementation, maintenance, management and performance of Enterprise Wide databases. Establishes and enforces standards and procedures for use, control, updating and maintaining Enterprise wide databases. Responsible for the database level administration of these systems, monitoring and addressing factors such as performance and tuning, back-up/restore procedures, journal setup and administration. Documents and graphs database configuration. Plans and coordinates database maintenance and upgrades with the assistance of the Enterprise Computing Platforms team. Provides Database Administration support for projects. Provides assistance to the applications/programming/interface groups with application upgrades, conversions and application problem resolution.
Coordinates performance and tuning of the application from a database level. Provides assistance to the Enterprise Computing Platforms team with Operating System Upgrades, performance and tuning of the databases from a system level.
Participates in activities and efforts, current and emerging, which encompass the confidentiality, integrity and availability of Scripps Data. Performs other duties as assigned. *hj
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Information Services environment.
Minimum 7 years experience in an Information Services setting.
Knowledge and documented experience to include:
HP NSK system hardware and software
Ability to work individually and with a team Ability to create, meet deadlines, and deal with multiple high priority issues simultaneously.
Good problem solving, decision-making skills, and verbal and written communication skills.
Training and/or presentation skills helpful
2 years in a healthcare environment preferred.
SQL/MP knowledge preferred
Lastword and GE Centricity Enterprise knowledge preferred
Experience with conversion from Lastword to GE Centricity Enterprise preferred or equivalent experience
Experience with Golden Gate preferred
Experience with Prognosis helpful
