We currently have an opportunity for a Director of Behavioral Health. The Director facilitates the integration and teamwork of all Behavioral Health Departments for optimal care of patients. Responsibilities also include:

  • Works in conjunction with the facility administrative staff and the Behavioral Health Services Medical Director to ensure the highest level of care for patients, and ensures that all services provided meet all regulatory requirements and guidelines.
  • Works with physicians to adopt and incorporate quality initiatives, understand economic considerations, and increase physician/hospital alignment.
  • Responsible for development of strategic and tactical plans to maximize the effectiveness of Behavioral Health Nursing services at the facility. This includes budget planning and management (capital and operational).
  • Responsible for ensuring that Behavioral Health Nursing Services are performing in conjunction with the mission and values of the facility and of HCA.

Qualified candidates must possess:

  • BSN, Masters preferred (MSN, MBA, or MHA)

  • Current Virginia Registered Nurse license

  • Minimum of 5 (prefer 10) years in Behavioral Health Services, with at least half of those years in Behavioral Health leadership
