Sutter Regional Medical Foundation is the Greater Solano and Contra Costa County's largest multi-specialty physician organization. Serving the community for over 50 years, its doctors and other health professionals pride themselves on offering high-quality, compassionate care out of five care centers in Vacaville, Fairfield, Rio Vista, Pittsburg and Antioch California.
The incumbent for this position works with a team of physicians and other nursing staff in providing medical care to patients of various ages according to the policy of the individual practice and in accordance with nursing professional standards and medical group policies and procedures. The incumbent will also take vital signs that include temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration; assist with procedures, apply dressings, observe patients and report adverse reactions to medications or treatments; collect samples from patients for testing, perform routine laboratory tests, record patient history, fax prescription refills and document prescription refills in the patient medical record; administer medications and start IVs as per their scope of practice. Knowledge of: CPT and ICD9 codes required.
Ability to: Build productive on-going working relationships with vendors and other departments; plan and organize work assignment and set priorities; gather, synthesize, summarize, and analyze abstract information.
Experience and Education: Any combination equivalent to experience and education that could likely provide the required knowledge and abilities would be qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: Experience - Sufficient years of experience in outpatient clinical and acute care setting; experience should include significant work in the areas Family Practice, Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. Education - Completion of a State approved vocational nursing program required. Documentation of current CA/LVN license, IV Therapy and BLS certifications required. Other:
